Last week we did programming on computers for our daily activity. We use Scratch to make games and animations with code blocks.
Each student had a computer and tried to solve problems I gave them like "Make the character move left" or "Make the character move in a square shape forever." Look at all the blocks of code in the picture! He did great!
We have students of different ages, so the younger students got easier problems. We learned (very simply) about moving on the x-axis and y-axis. We also learned about the need for pausing between code blocks to make animation look right.
I look forward to this week's activity too! If you're interested in the After School program, check out our website!
