Other than driving on different sides of the road in the U.S. and Japan, there are other noteworthy differences. In some states in the U.S., cars in the right lane can turn right at a stoplight even if the light is still red. That would be like turning left on a red light in Japan. Also, whereas in Japan everyone stops at railroads, in the U.S., only large vehicles like school buses stop. Everyone else drives over a railroad without stopping!
