Japanese has a lot of English loan words, how about English? Are there many Japanese words being used in Engish?
There are actually quite a few! The common ones are foods like "sushi" and "ramen" and also words like "typhoon", "tsunami" and "karate" are used in English! Most people know that these words come from Japanese but there are loan words used in English that most people don't know come from Japanese. A common example is the word "Karaoke". Another common example is the word honcho (hancho), boss or leader. A rarely used example is the word "skosh" (sukoshi) meaning a little. Can you think of any others?
