Te Puia is a famous tourist attraction in Rotorua, New Zealand. Many people come from around the world to see the geysers and bubbling mud pools. The main attraction is the Pōhutu Geyser which erupts a couple of times an hour. Sometimes water shoots up to 30 meters into the air! some of the geothermal hot pools like Ngāraratuatara and Tuatara can be used for cooking, also. In some places around Rotorua you can relax in hot mud pools but some at Te Puia get as hot as 95 degrees Celsius - far too hot to enter!
