April has brought warm and sunny weather to Japan this year, and it's perfect time for new foliage to grow. Hamamatsu Flower Park, near Hamanako, is a wonderful spot to enjoy colorful displays of flowers from various climates. Not only is there a large park to walk around outside, there is also a Mexican cactus display and a Balinese garden inside!

Tulips are on display the most, and they are displayed in countless different colors. The orange ones in my photo contrast with the green surrounds, and the flowers look so vibrant and healthy. Many staff members tend to the displays throughout the day.
