By Joshua

A cold snap occurred this week which saw intense cold cover the nation and snowfall disrupt cities, airports and national transportation from January 24 onwards.

Officials are warning people to prepare and be cautious of the weather. According to The Japan Times, "The Japan Meteorological Agency said heavy snow is expected in wide areas from northern to western Japan on the Sea of Japan side and in some areas on the Pacific side of the archipelago, as a developing low-pressure system will make its way toward the waters off the northeastern part of the country on Jan. 24"

Stay warm, Hamamatsu!
