During Golden Week, I went to Ryugashido Cavern, a limestone cave in Kita Ward, Hamamatsu. The cave is estimated to be about 250 million years old!

Inside the cave, there were many stalactites (which hang down from the ceiling), stalagmites (which grow up from the ground), and columns (which are stalactites and stalagmites joined together!)

I am taller than average, so many parts of the cave were difficult for me to walk through. I had to crouch down. But it was worth it to see the incredible waterfall in the middle of the cave.
