This week in after school, we put up the INCL Field sign for our small farm. Each of the students planted these fruits and vegetables about two weeks ago. We checked to see how well the plants were growing, some of them are big and some are a little small still. All of the students watered the plants while Jay talked them through taking care of the plants as they grow. We practiced how to say all of the fruits and vegetables in English, eggplant was a little difficult for most of the kids to say. Now that we have watered the plants a few times, they know how to say a few different phrases. Some of the phrases include; It’s my turn, here you are, Can I have more water please?, be careful, and watch out. After we left the field they all say good bye to the dog and thank you to Jay.
